    [Jamming] TASKalfa5500i Duplex Jamming

Has anyone hadto change out a conveying unit on this model of machine due to jamming?
I have a machine located several hundred miles away and have to try a new conveying unit as based on the technical support and
jam codes as well as the trouble shooting guide.
I had to replace the exit / eject unit that sits above the fuser due to binding of the guides over time from the fuser heat and also the fuser itself due to clicking noise.
From what I can see I will have to switch over some covers and the multi-purpose bypass tray from the old conveying unit to the nw one.
Seems straight forward but I always respect second opinions if anyone else has had this kind of problem.
Firmware is up to date and single sheet output works just fine.
Any input greatly accepted and appreciated.
    Thanks

Historically it's been the bridge units that have been the biggest headache. Dog-eared corners and paper jams galore. Personally I have not experienced any of these jamming problems but I've watched numerous posts on the topic.

Let us know how it goes. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The gates in the exit unit can stick on the early ones, their was a mylar kit that basically moved the end plate out further so the gate had more play. They did change the design of the gates to be a little shorter. The ticking in the fuser was remidied by adding tapping screws to the brackets on the heat roller bearings (actually was a bulletin for that). The conveyance unit has caused a bit of problems on some, the upper duplex clutch failing and the wire tie straps being too tight.

Have seen the folded corner issue and resolved by adding mylar extensions to the gate in the attachment kit.
