    Taskalfa 500ci with a machine failure code of c2810 HELP!

    Is there someone in the LA area that can fix this? I was printing a 3000 sheet 11x17 job when this happened, did I push the copier to hard or is this normal?

    I have read couple of posts about the code c2810 and it seems to be the engine board and the waste toner motor. What is the estimated value of the fix? The machine is brand new, we have been using it for only couple of months.

      Worst case isthe prcb board and motor need to be replaced, just over 1000 bucks. Best caseis that it only needs an agitator spring in the waste toner plumbing, a couplehundred. So 200.00 - 1300.00

          Thank you for the reply. WOW, those are some expensive parts, I paid $1000 for the copier brand new and its $1200 to fix this, what a shitty copier this is.

                  Where did you pick up a brand new TA 500ci for $1000.00? It appears whomever sold you this did not check through the bulletins to make sure any updates were outstanding.

                      After cleaning the waste bucket and cleaning the sensor, the warning went away and it seems its working fine. Is there anything I can do to avoid it happening in the future? Someone mentioned people mod the part to make it last. How much does the mod cost?

                          Well, ... you may not have the new style waste toner motor. I've been lead to believe that the new style motor is less likely to smoke the engine board. The new part number is: 302H793341 =^..^=
                          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
