I have a copystar cs300i. The machine will not count down when you ask for say 20 copies and machine should count down 20-19-18-etc. How do we program it to do so. Customer upset.

Press the job status/cancel button........if your customer is upset over such a trivial thing....best wishes to you....

i have never seen a machine that did not count down from the copy number requested. this is a large church that several users use. each department would like to know how many copies are to print before they, another user, can come back and copy their needs. thanks for your input.

Why not use the reserve feature?
When 1 job is done, the next will start.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

We can but cs2550, cs1635 and a number of other copystar equipment count down. I, along with my customer can believe the machine is so advanced but can't down count. Thanks for your input and any other suggestions will be appreciated.

You are describing everything the job status button tells you.....they can press the button and see how many jobs are lined up and how many left to go...I mean I know it's a pain in the ass to reach over and press a button....

You can set the Status screen as the default screen, and set a short default time. Within say, 10 seconds, it can jump to the Status screen. I must agree with the others that this is a very trivial complaint. You're in for a hell of a ride ... =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

And your comment on the machine being so advanced it doesn't do a count down is incorrect....it is more advanced as in the installed the Job Status screen which displays more information on jobs rather than just a countdown with older copiers....I have a nice machine in the print shop that has a status screen that shows the countdown and then breaks it down in a bar chart with times on jobs lined up..it's really neat and advanced...but I do have to push a button to view it...
