KyoceraMita KM-C2520, Maintenance mode, touch panel calibration.

KM-C2520, Maintenance mode, touch panel calibration.

Without having a machine available to verify I need to write up an instruction for non-techs how to calibrate the touch panel of the KM-C2520.

According to the book it is:

Press start button > Enter 10871087 on the keyboard > Select U201 with cursor up/down keys > Press center of upper left + > Press center of lower right + > Leave maintenance mode with Stop/Clear key.

Is that correct the way I wrote it? To me it looks a little clunky.

    Is it the same procedure for all machines of the KM-C2520, 2525E, 3225, 3225E, 3232, C3232E, C4035E, C6030, C8030 series?

    Thanks

    Hans

    Two differences:
    1) start out in the Copy screen > 10871087 > ...
    2) ... > Press center of lower right + > Stop/Clear key > End > 001 (to exit service mode) > Start.

... and yes, applies to all Voyager, VoyagerE, and Harrier machines. It's all very similar op panel firmware. Indistinguishable. Most times it is totally unnecessary to perform the screen initialize. Typically it's close enough without doing the adjustment. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
