It is the drums. I know you hate to hear it, but it is. I have had all 3 color drums go out on several of these. Supposedly, with the newer firmware, you can run the AC calibration in mode 3 or 4 and this nay help with this, and I think some updated have been made to the drum.

One other thing I was advised to turn off the tray heaters if they are used, to reduce the heat in the m/c.

The solution is to change the drums. I feel your pain, but these machine burn up drums and developers. Be thankful you're getting 40-50k out of them. I've had to change drums and developers that have had less than 10k on them.

Have you changed the transfer belt, and has the Mod been done to this machine. I would look at changing the TB if this machine is killing your drums.

We have come across this problem and changed the TB hence no more issues, also peform and Tech Bulletins regarding this machine

Supposedly the cause is overheating on right side of machine. You need to set u59 to fan mode 3 and clean/replace filters. In some cases filters were totally removed. Also check to see if you have new style black dev, and corresponding seal kit for toner leakage that could carry down to other drums. I have changed out quite a few C + M drums because of this issue. Good luck.

agree with this. problem is the drums. have had to replace several magenta and cyan drums in particular.

the problem that is happening is called dusting from the developers. the developers are leaking toner on to the drums causing pits. the developers need to be changed along with the drums to fix the issue.

There are bulletins made reflecting this issue.

charge roller has been modified to minimize arcing.
Idling colour developers are not healthy developers.
