    250ci & 500ci fuser difference.

500ci has one more lamp, one more thermistor, and one more jumper behind the connector.

Yeah, and you'll get a C6050 if you accidentally substitute one for the other. I wish I didn't know that. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Same as in the Utax 1060/1162 Kyocera 6030/6230

You would not believe, How many times the Techs in my job have put the 62 fuser in a 60 machine and wonder * WHY *

        Re: 250ci & 500ci fuser difference.

remove that jumper, disconnect third lamp, disconnect thermistor

        you have 250ci fuser.

to convert to 500ci, better not do it, you need 1 lamp, you need thermistor and that jumper.

use this info at your own discretion.

you read nothing (its that jumper that gives you c6050, its a short circuit for model identification).

Cheers for that, Have you ever had a 250ci fuser thermistor blow giving you the c6030 error, and kept it after warranty.
I found it very useful when i had another 250ci fuser that had the belt torn, i managed to swap the thermistor around and have a spare, perfect fuser

Yes sir, very useful that way.

And the developers... Chip swap them if you are ever in a pinch. Works like a charm. Like f2 and f3 drum swap.

Info is for out of warranty machines, and for that dire scenario.

Hopefully i guessed it right, when you say the dev's you mean swapping the chips vice versa from (example)
Utax CDC1725 - Utax CDC1840 so they will be accepted in the machine.....

I worked in the Stores every afternoon, so swapping faulty unit parts to damaged units became quite a neccessity, I loved having spare parts in the car inc Fuser's and TB's. I remember when customers mc went down to c6030, My spare Fuser kept me from telling the Customer that there machine would be out of action.

One Fuser that hacked me right of was the Utax CDC1625 Fuser, It would crease only A3 copies causing me grief. I could never repair it and had to replace with new, but that spare helpedme in a jam a few times...
