Guys, I recently replaced the entire control panel assembly on a KM3050 that was giving a blank display. That was 3 weeks ago.Everthing was just fine. Yesterday, I got a service call and upon arrival, the entire control panel was dead except for the power button. It was on. However, pushing the button did nothing. Also printing from pc wont work either. When main power switch is turned on, copier does initialize, scan lamp initializes , etc. then after that nothing. I reflashed firmware with compact flash, couldn't tell because of no display, reset DIMM on main pcb. This is a new panel that worked fine for 3 weeks. Something else is wrong. Before I drive 50 miles, I thought I'd check in here o for any input. What should I take with me? New main DIMM? main PCB ? another control panel? What do you think?

Re: CONTROL PANEL/ ELECTRICAL
I'd take along a spare panel just in case, but I think you'll find your problem with connectors. You can also try cleaning the electrical contacts on the EEPROMs with ElectroKleen or a pencil eraser.
Have you tried using the BOOT switch on the op panel?:
Set panel dip switch to "Boot", power On until memory light stays lit green, power off. Re-seat CODE DIMM. Load firmware. Import U917 backups (if available).
=^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
