Waste toner in new Task Alfa machines

This isn't a thread the bitch about their crappy WT-860 bottles. It's more to bitch about the people installing them without opening the cap. I had a hospital reusing a bottle and installed it with the cap closed. Waste toner backed up all the way into the drum just spilling everywhere, causing huge nasty smudging CQ, and causing the cleaner auger to snap. Keep an eye out for this.

update on this as I went and looked at a WT-860 bottle on the shelf. The lid has two tabs to prevent putting the bottle in closed, that is unless they've snapped the tabs off.

Time for a billable service call. Anyone seen these bottles in after market or any suggestions?

How about snipping off the lid before shipping them out? The problem I've found is that our endusers would rather rip open the diaphragm and dump it out ... frequently all over the front of the machine. I tell them that we provide waste bottles in their contract, so why not install a new one?

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

We collect the waste bottles, empty and redistribute them...kinda expensive bottles to just throw away

I don't know why they reuse the bottles...they are on state contract and get new bottles free as well...
