    Kyocera Ecoys FS-C5030N Errorr code 0470:36318

    I am trying to install this printer .Old setup FS-C5016N was replaced with the FS-C5030N. After printing Menu map the printer was set on top of the 500 sheet cassette tray assembly. This was done by the owner. This in-turn triggered an message.....Call service 0470:36318. Now according to the pages printed page count on print-out was;0036317. I am assuming that this error code 0470 resulted at this page it tried to print. At this point, printer will not print. USB connection to computer using platform Windows XP cannot locate printer.

    What is the error mean and is there a Reset feature ? I do not have a manual on this. Any starting point is most helpful. Peace Work! Thanks in advanced....Steve

      Did you perchance connect this additional tray while the machine was live? Not a good idea. Plug and Play means that the controller board can recognize accessories during initialization. Not after initialization. I don't have a manual handy, but I would guess it's a communication error based on the range. If the code does not go away when you power Off/On, then you've fried the controller board.

      The good news is that you only have to make $900.00 errors like this once or twice. After that, you remember. =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Duplexer incompatibility error

          The incompatible duplexer DU-300 is
          installed to the 24 ppm printer.

          Install the compatible duplexer DU-301 to
          the 24 ppm printer.

                  Thank you....this did the trick, however, now after sending a windows test page, it asks for folder option. It wants a name. and when I type ine "anything" ti give a command on the console of the printeer "illegeal account, job cancelled". as far as I see it does understand, but now I believe there is a Network issue, what doI need to toggle and or do I do this from the control panel or the computer? Thank You for all your help...Steve

                      Use your menu map to find where the Job Accounting settings are located and turn it off...
                      But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.
