    TA-820

Hi, have any of you guys had issues with up dating f/w on this model?

    I have tried different approaches
    1)Format card in pc
    2)Format card in m/c
    3)Root directory
4)Pre folder (usually for sims but just had to try)
    5)Single file
    6)All f/w files at once
    7) tried using the normal CF slot not the f/w one all to no avail.

I dont think the f/w is consecutive ie, the f/w I am trying is a couple of versions up.
I know someone else having the same issue in the same model as well, any help apprieceiated.

If it's like the CS-8030, this is how I do it:

Format the CF card in the machine.
Connect CF card to your PC.
    Remove all formatting folders.
Place all firmware files on the root of the drive with no other files or folders present.
Power Off, insert CF card, power On,
takes less than 30 minutes typically.

Let me know how it works for you. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Hi.
Just an update. went back to the m/c with a smaller 64mb card as we suspected it was the 4gb at fault and it was.
But we formatted the 64mb in the m/c and it did not work, we then formatted in the pc and it worked ok.
Sorry BC I did not get time to try your method.
Once the f/w was on I tried the 4gb card again but it did not work.

      hope this helps
