[Error Code] TASKalfa 5500i System Error F000

I am looking for a little input on this issue as my customer is 250 miles away (why does this always have to be). First suggestion was U906 reset, easiest to do.
Anyway I am trying the firmware update as a possible resolution followed by U024 hard disk full format,
followed by reseating the memory module and the hard disk cables.

I think that is about all I can suggest to the customer to try themselves.

I expect it will either be a disk drive or a main board replacement.

    Any opinions greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

You're going to suggest that the enduser perform these functions? I know plenty of decent techs that have "brick'ed" an MFP, when they had a pretty good idea what needed to be done. You're just asking for trouble.

No way would I have any customer load firmware or do a hard disk reformat. It's just too easy to further screw up the machine. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

That's how I've gotten where I am at. By having a very healthy skepticism of the "facts".

What sort of service contracts do you offer? 1/2 price if you perform the labor yourself?
