Does anyone have instructions on this? First time working with Kyocera product line and attaching a 3rd party control device.
Any input would be appreciated.

from the taskalfa 500ci there was a special conector thet you can buy from kyocera it comes with full instructions .we have a couple of machines in a couple of librarys that use the moniter card system .its just a matter of plugging in the adapter and then plugging in the card system.sorry i dont jnow the part number of the connector as its been a while since i fitted one but its very easy to do.
alright.... we are attempting to contact the kyocera rep to find out what is needed on the machine side and where the connection would go. I will follow up when we figure things out.
Thank you for the response

Most card readers are USB, but some are ethernet. All you need is a license key to activate the card reader on the MFP. You can try it for 30 days if you're looking to demo it before you buy the license. Make sure you get the correct card reader though.
this is a 3rd party magnetic strip reader at a library. We found that there is a cable you can order for models that are not shipping with the connection cable in it (part # 302K946AJ0)
this connects to the engine PCB at connector YC24

Hi, we just fitted about 40 to various Alphard models and some FS-mfp's. We had to make some brackets and on some models drill hole's but they were all usb and easy to fit. just activate the licence and all work ok.
