[Misc] Kyocera KM-3035-4035-5035 Intermitting Registration Problem

Hello, I have a KM-3035 Connected Machine That is having intermitting registration problem. They told me it was only from the Document Feeder but I have ruled out the Document Feeder because it happend from the glass also. I have ruled out the printer engine because it has never happened while printing and thay use it as a printer primarily. I have attached some photos to show the direction paper and the output.
    Any Ideas? Thanks....Ant

Replace the registration clutch. The confirmation will be the cloud of rust dust around it. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Blackcat, you have more experience on this machine than I do. But would the problem be there when printing. He said it did not have the problem when printing?? Just wondering?

Mr. Bill: Theoretically it would affect all printing and copying equally, but little "facts" like this often get muddled. Another mitigating factor might be how may consecutive prints or copies, greater quantity greater variation.

If you suspect that it's a scanning issue, do a bunch of scans and check the image registration. Personally I think that's less likely.

Just look at the clutch. If it's rusty, there's your culprit. You might be overthinking this. =^..^=

blackcatt is 100% right its the reg clutch, i hv encounterrd this problem so many times on these models and km 2530s.3530s,3050s,4050s,5050s ,you might want to clean it but changing it makes it perfect.
failure is not an option !

Thank you for the replies. I as well think it would show up on printing. I also think that since the paper is running in the 11x8.5 position the clutch would cause the registration to be off <---> instead of top to bottom? That said I will try to clean/change the clutch and let you know. Hey, i like clean clutches don't you?

PS: the registration is always off the exact same amount every time it goes out...

Thanks for the update. It might be an older machine but I still have a # of them out there and don't want to upgrade them just yet. Working to good.
