His zero count is whatever the meter is at this time - you can't buy a used car with zero miles on the odometer, can you?"You can't trust your eyes, if your mind is out of focus" --Comment

=^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

You've got to be kidding. Haven't you read the other hundreds of posts telling the questioner to FOAD?

Re: clearing copy count on km 1620
I particularly liked blazebusiness's solution to this problem:
To zero the counter you must remove the counter pcb from the copier and then drill a small hole in the center of the board using a 1/4: drillbit. Then reinstall pcb. Spray the circuit board with machine oil prior to installing. While performing this procedure it helps to have a 9v battery with you and you must lick the battery contacts while performing this counter reset procedure. Very important--this reset must be done while completely naked!

I do endorse this method. Your customer will get a machine with zero count ... just not the original one. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

Re: clearing copy count on km 1620
I heard somewhere that if you plug a 120V KM-1620 into a 240V outlet it will clear the copy count...But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

Re: clearing copy count on km 1620
It is just crazy too think it is alright to turn back a copy count meter. Look up in the dictionary the word Unscrupulous. Never mind, I'll tell you. It means untrustworthy, dishonest, deceitful, corrupt, lacking integrity or moral principles.
Not saying that is you. You were just asking a question. BUT if you did turn back the meter then pick one of those words for you.
Kind of harsh isn't it. Show you buddy with the machine what we think.Comment
