5050 off line not printing

    5050 off line not printing

    Got a 5050 saying off line every time i try to print, but it eventually prints 30 seconds later sometimes longer. I have changed the network cable,updated firmware and tried different driver (installed on the server) Any one got any more ideas? Thank you.

    Update. The printer driver is on the server but not every client PC is having problem printing. Sort of leaning towards that particular PC now.

      Try to uncheck snmp in the properties of the tcp/ip port, it worked for me.

          Try changing the pdl and check on uncheck GDI passthough.

              I think I'd start by connecting my laptop to the existing network cable and running a continuous ping to the server.

              I had a site in which the server pinged 10 times, then failed 4 times, then pinged 10 times ... like that. The printer was not connected, just my laptop. So how could it be a printer NIC problem? It wasn't.

              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

                  Turn dhcp back on and reboot, if printing is oke check the dhcp scope and settings under dns on the server if there is an A record with the same ip adres

                      Pdl seam to have done the trick on that particular pc. Will wait and see.
