    copystar cs-c3225E possible eprom switched

    Hello all,

    I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to find out if which machine an eprom belonged too. We have 3 machines that parts were swapped off of and now when we try to get them running we were getting 0210 codes and 0220 codes.

      The codes you are getting are communication between boards errors. I'd first make sure the connectors are all connected tightly. If the ribbon cables are not just right, they'll pop a code--I know.

          It does matter which eeprom came from which machine. The serial number is written in there somewhere, but I know no way of tell which is which, without just physically trying all the possibilities.

          3 chips means 9 total possible solutions. =^..^=
          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

              ok I am mainly using just the eprom on the engine and main with no print board. i was able to get the machine up and going with a copy count of like 67 million. when i try different eproms i either get c0100 c0150 or c0180 codes. can anyone please advise what to check next?

                      ok i have some matching pairs that i keep getting a c0180 code. does this mean the main board is bad or the eproms are still not right?

                          From what I'm reading, the main PWB is most likely.

                          When in doubt go by cost. The EEPROM is much cheaper than the main PWB. =^..^=

                              try to do sim 004, it can help. no guarantee.

                                  In running in maintence mode 04 i have been able to get machine model numbers off of some of the eproms. does anyone know what information is stored on the main and engine eprom?
