Engine pwb not the same as in manual

    Hello everyone,

Yesterday i serviced a KM-4050 with lift motor problem (c1010).
I replaced lift motor but this didn't work so i ordered and got a brand new engine pwb. (part 302GR01021/302GR94131).
Unfortunately by dissambling the original engine pwb i saw an extra 2 pins connector (see picture attached).
So, i've assembled the engine pwb without connecting this little 2 pins connector...
the machine boots up but can't print no any image!!
Anyone has experience with this issue?
    Thanks on advance!

From what I can tell you ordered and received the correct part number. The additional connector is probably not pertinent.

Did you transfer the EEPROM & memory from the old PWB to the new PWB? The machines serial number is stored on the EEPROM.
Did you re-load firmware? Replacement PWB's never come with current firmware, and if the engine firmware is not compatible with the main or MMI it won't boot up.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

        Hello Folks,

        Problem found!
        Read attached SB-2GR-0056-8581.PDF !

Kyocera added a clutch on the drive unit on newer models.
They changed the engine from 302GR94131 to 302GR94132 (extra 2 pin connector for clutch)!

Anyway thanks for the reply blackcat

The new board 302GR94132 is backward compatable and the old board 303GR94131 and prior are not foreard compatable as they do not have connector 24 or circuitry to activate the cluthc that was added. If you are getting blank copies it should not be a problem of the board.
