I have a Copystar CS-2020 with ADF problems. One problem - the first inch or so of the image is stretched as if the rollers were slipping or you were intentionally making it feed more slowly. the rest of the image is ok. The rollers are clean, there is no visible change in it's feed speed, and whenever it does this, there is a click or thump or snap sound during the feed process. A friend has a machine with the same problem and he hasn't figured it out either. Also, there are a few hairline streaks down the left side of the copy, only when using the adf, not on the glass. I have thoroughly cleaned the adf slit glass multiple times as well as visually inspect it. Any help will be appreciated.

Re: copystar cs-2020 adf problems
Two things to check:
1) Make sure that the DP height is properly adjusted.
2) If that doesn't help, try increasing the spacing between the white plate and the slit glass. Usually there are spacer features at the front and rear of the DP white plate. A simple approach is to add a few layers of self adhesive mylar to add 1/3 of a mm per layer. Same spacing front and back.
I've done this on a wide variety of machines when you get stretched images or frequently dirty slit glass. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
