KM-5050 Network port won't light up

    Hi all,
As said above network port on the photocopier won't light up. Not a thing, nada.

I've tried connecting it to the dsl router, hubs, switches. I have also tried different CAT5 cables, still nothing.

    I am presuming it's a straight-through cable you use, and not a cross-over?

I am just asking here to check if there's any root settings etc. that may need to be changed to activate the LAN port?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide

      Resetting partial operation control
      Description
Resets the service call code for partial operation control.
      Purpose
To be reset after partial operation is performed due to problems in the casettes or other sections, and the
      related parts are serviced.
      Method
      1. Press the start key.
      2. Press [EXECUTE] on the touch panel.
      3. Press the start key to reset partial operation control.
The maintenance mode is exited, and the machine returns to the same status as when the main power
      switch is turned on.

It could be the network card itself that's faulty.

Re: KM-5050 Network port won't light up

Are you sure that the network connection is live? the first thing I do is connect my laptop to the existing network cable and see if DHCP assigns an address. If yes, I'll start a continuous ping and watch it for a while.

In five years I've replaced exactly one controller board for dead TCP/IP port. That's pretty rare. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
