    [CQ] FS-1128MFP

    I have a FS-1128MFP,

Prints are fine, copies & faxes thru the ADF (and off platen glass) have a gray background w/ a 3mm blank /(white) border around the entire page. Any ideas what causes this? It has to be from the scanner assy [PARTS ISU ASSY] but is it possible to fix w/o replacing scanner unit? On other machines I have seen a background level adjust which can resolve this same type of issue, but not on this model.

I have had this same issue before and the fix for ours was on the ISU there is a small board under the mirrors that went bad and had to be replaced, although we had the part on hand due to a 1128 the got hit by lightning. Looking at the parts man right now and there is not a part number for it, you may have to order the ISU... Or call Kyocera's parts department..

Thanks for the info, I figured it was something like that.

I did not need a manual. I wonder how much he makes advertising for manuals?
Oh I see, $12.97 for something he probably got from Kyocera web site for free. NICE

He may be a good sort to those that agree and condone his "activities" and the way he helps people.. Not so good to those that debate or disagree with his sometimes mean spirited responses and actions.

                    Cheers

check connector on lamp and clean the mirrors and lamp before getting new.

No Problem, I usually check copytechnet for folks that have had similiar issues, and google helps sometimes.
