KM-4050 Touch Screen Issue/ Dimm Replacement

I had a KM-4050 Touchscreen go out. I replaced the touch operation panel and the ribbon and now the screen works after calibration for a few days. After a few days, the touch screen is uncalibrated and needs calibration.

I understand that the operation panel dimm may need to be changed. Part. No 2GR94181

My questions would be, is it necessary to change the main board dimm if I need to change the operation panel dimm? Can I just change the operation dimm only?

    Looking forward to everyone's response.

    Thank You,

No. You can change either DIMM alone, in fact that's preferable. The machine's serial number is written to the new DIMM if it can find the information on another. If you change more than one, there is the distinct possibility that the machine could not find the serial number to copy.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

Have you considered upgrading the firmware?

I actually will do that today. I ordered the dimm but it wont be in for a couple days. I will try the firmware upgrade. Hopefully that fixes it.

            Thanks!

I've only had a few FalconIII panels fail, and replacing the tablet has worked for me in all but one case. The exception, I replaced a whole operation panel.

Keep in mind that you'll have to re-load firmware immediately after each DIMM installation. =^..^=
