    CS250ci awesome image

    Hey guys & gals,
Have this quality issue (see attached void lines) only occures with cyan, magenta as far as I can tell.
Did sky shots with blk & yellow, no issue.
    Paper is passing letter size.
Without spending a couple of hours of dismantiling, I thought one of you aces might agree that this is a drum issue?
Only 35K on this box. WTF.
    Thanks in advance.
Oh yea, that big white viod is my fault.

Three possibilities but one most likely. You'll probably want to do all three plus a color calibration while you're at it.

    1) Toner piled up on top of the developing units or filters not completely inserted, grazing the latent image on the primary transfer belt (most likely).
    2) Dirty laser slit glass.
    3) Dirty primary charge rollers.

Remove all the drums and developing units. Vacuum up toner on the outside of the developing units (not the developing roller).
Clean primary charge rollers with water or glass cleaner (do not saturate).
    Re-assemble.
Run developer refresh & laser slit glass cleaning in the Adjustment/Maintenance Menu, then proceed with the usual color calibration.

    This is typical. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Hey Blackdog I just finished up at customers and end result was some nice scratches on cyan and magenta drums.
This is not a result of normal ware. I'm guessing a tech tried to remove drums in a way which would have caused this?

Toner hopper, developing units, fuser, and transfer belt assembly all have to be removed before drums can come out. The transfer belt contacts the top of the drum units. If forced, yes ... you can scratch each and every drum. You'll be ordering at least two new drum units. Check the transfer belt for gouges, scrapes, rips. =^..^=
