    FS3140MFP - 0840 Error code

We have a customer that has had two separate FS3140MFP's display the same error (0840) in this particular office.

With the first printer, they replaced the batteries twice and the Main PWB. After not being able to clear the error, they replaced the printer with another one that was working well (in another office, same building). Replacement printer shows same error. They can power-cycle the printer and the error will clear.

The tech is going to upgrade firmware and check the power (in room), but I just wanted to check and see if any one else has had a similar issue?

Have you connected the power quality analyzer? I'd be curious what the power looked like, especially after the second machine had the same code at the same outlet. Either all FS-3140MFP's are defective or something environmental is happening. Which is more likely?

Are they unplugging the machine at night? I've had a few "green" endusers like this. One of these was unplugging the server and all the PC's every night. Funny thing ... each PC got assigned a different IP address every day. Scan to SMB became a moving target. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Blackcat, thanks for the reply.

Not sure if the analyzer has been used. It sounds environmental with me as well. The customer is not unplugging the power every night.

Make sure that they are using the latest driver.
