    [Misc] taskalfa 4500i not indicating 2sided-2sided copy on touch panel

    Just installed this taskalfa 4500i ,all is working well ,all the extras ,in short its a full house machine.My only problem is that when I got a double sided original on dp 771 ,if I want to do a double sided copy that function is not showing on the duplex options,what could be the problem.All the units are working,ie sorting,stapling,punching,book folding,extra trays

    Any ideas are welcome
    failure is not an option !

      i'm fairly sure that the DP-771 needs an extra 1gb RAM fitted in order to activate the duplexing option - but just on this b/w range. Bit weird when it is sold as a 2 > 2 doc processor.

          With it having a DP 771 you might double check that the add on board is seated correctly and check the connections?

              Had this problem on one of my customer's machines and it turned out that it needed the extra memory stick.

                  Thanks guys we have to try and add more memory then,to rectify the problem

                      If I remember correctly didn't they up the memory on all the machines they send out now?

                          Nope. It's a separate option. =^..^=
                          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                              No there was a bulletin that they upped it from 1GB DIMM to 2GB DIMM as standard, but there is still an additional 1GB DIMM to install for the optional DP-771 to enable duplex printing. So we were both right and wrong on that one.
