Transfer user settings from one 3050ci to another?

    Hey,

I was wondering if you can save the settings (address book, ip addresses, etc.) from one 3050ci and transfer them to another through a usb stick or something. I was looking through the service manual and I didn't see anything but I'm pretty sure I've heard of this before.

    Thanks in advance!
Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

Go to U917 in Maintenance Mode and select what you want to back up.

I'm not sure how I didn't see that. Thank you very much!

The Service Manual has 936 pages, so there's always a chance you didn't find it the first time!

Warning: I showed an IT person how to do this during a large setup. He had changed his mind after starting the import. To stop the import he yanked out the USB stick. The next day I replaced the hard drive, because he killed it.

Moral of the story: Let the import or export finish before yanking out the USB stick.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
