Task Alfa 300i new problem for me.

Hi everyone, one of our customers called this morning, and explained the problem that she was having with the machine. When the machine is used for photocopying, the print outs are perfect, but its only when they print from there computers, that the print outs have these black lines on them. Normally if you photocopy and the image is bad and then when you print the image is good, you know its the laser scanner or the glass etc.., but with this case, you print, and you get bad prints, and when you photocopy, your image is okay. Has anyone face this problem before.

    Thanks.

I've found the 300ci driver installed instead of the 300i driver.

The correct driver is installed. After checking the machine, we found that they only have this problem, when they do a lot of printing or photocopying. They were just doing a small amount of photo copying and large amounts of printing from their computers. When doing large amount of prints, the machine would at first give out clear copies and then some where in the middle of the print job, these black lines would start to appear. So what I am trying to say is these black lines only appear when they do large jobs. Small jobs where only one or two copies are involved, give out good prints.

Re: Task Alfa 300i new problem for me.

Three possibilities and easy to figure out:

          1) poor drum cleaning: 95.5mm intervals
Could be drum charge memory or cleaning blade problem.
Clean the drum blade with alcohol, and re-prime with drum powder, or replace drum unit.
          2) fuser roller multiple imaging: 99.0mm intervals
Replace fuser. No separate parts available.
          3) Cloudy lack background with 0.5mm dots: Primary charge arcing from the contact at the rear frame to the primary charge unit.
Re-form contact on rear frame and file away any arc/burned marks. File off any arc marks on the rear primary charge contact.

Any one of these can be intermittent. If you get a sample scan it to the thread. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
