CS4050 & KM4050 are the boards the same? C2000 code

    Hello,

I have a CS4050 popping a C2000 stapler motor code, machine has a DF-720. Manual says it's the motor or the engine PWB. Well I removed the DF_720 and still code pops, I'm shooting for the Engine PWB. I have KM4050 in the boneyard pile are the PWB's the same?

Yes, just be sure to swap any removable EEPROMs and Memory chips to the replacement board. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

One thing to watch for on this as I grabbed a 4050 board off a 5050 we had come back into the shop. At some point they changed the drive system in these machines and added a clutch to run the developer separately. The old board will not have a connector for this new clutch but the new one will. Imagine how irritated I was getting this other board into a machine and discovering there isn't a connector for this clutch. Came back to the shop and found the bulletin on it.

Has nothing to do with a stapler motor,2000 codes usually deal with the main drive system. Main motor , gears, engine board etc.
        C2000:
        Drive motor problem
Stable OFF is detected for 1 s continuouslyafter drive motor stability. The drive motor is not stabilized in 6 s
        since the motor is activated.

Check the drum unit, We have had the cleaning unit inside the drum unit locked up on Taskals 520i, which is almost the same drum unit.

When this happens it puts such a atrain on the main motor that the copier will throw a 2000 error code!

That's what I'm going to try next, I'm not to familiar with KM boxes and when I saw Stapler on the manual I automatically took that route with boards and stapler assembly troubleshooting. I suspected maybe something esle going on and you just confirmed it for me.

Thanks I'll follow up later with what I found.
