having a problem with skewed copies out of the #1 and #2 cassette only. Bypass, 3rd and 4th tray are fine. feed rollers were worn and have been changed. the grey vertical transport rollers after the feed assembly have been changed. It is doing it on single sided copies. any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: skewed copies/prints km-8030
I've spent a lot of time with these machines, and have not had issues with pre-registration paper skew from trays #1 and #2.
I have had issues with the PF-660 paper skewing and duplex paper skewing, but that's something totally different.
There are a few things that I would look at:
1) Check the PE sensor flag is not bent or broken, and catching on the edge of the valley it retracts into. It comes down to overfilling the trays. On one specific visit I had one user manage to break (7) PE flags on two CS-6030's side-by-side. The single user overfilled every tray.
2) Have you installed the copper front separation springs to the modified separation setting, per the bulletin included in every PM kit? That will resolve any uneven wear on the separation rollers.
3) Closely examine the paper path that trays #1 and #2 feed from. Make sure that each roller combination is spring loaded evenly front to back, and that there are no paper cuts or gouges in the paper guides.
That's where I'd start. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: skewed copies/prints km-8030
Thanks guys for the advice. I am going back out there tomorrow. the seperation mylars have been replaced but I did not check the flags to see if they were bent and Blackcat may have hit it with that one because I do remember when i pulled the tray 1 out once that about 5 or 6 sheets of paper got hung up while i was pulling it out.Comment

Re: skewed copies/prints km-8030
Wow, I'd say these flags would be able to last at least 2 million. I have never thought of that, considering the fact that when they brake the likely hood of breaking the holder for it was like 3 out of 10.
That is very good info! Thanks for that!!Comment
