The finisher is not recognizing that the booklet maker is installed tried doing a 906 reset what board could be bad.

I'll agree with habik. Check these items, this order:
1) main connector and meter out pigtail
2) other connectors in finisher and at engine PWB
3) interlock switches on booklet maker
4) booklet maker PWB
5) finisher PWB
6) engine PWB
I think it unlikely that this will come down to a board problem.
Note: Be sure to check connector with power Off! Wiggling live connectors can blow boards.

2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
