I keep getting false paper empty errors on kyocera FS 9530N. I have cleaned the sensor and adjusted the switches. Any help is appreciated.

Are you sure it's not asking for to add a different paper size, not requesting add paper to full tray? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: FS 9530 False paper empty
More accurately a shorted lift motor can take out the motor driver circuitry on the engine PWB. Should you decide to go down this road, replace both items simultaneously, or you'll get an opportunity to order another PWB. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

The problem is intermittent. If it were a shorted lift motor and blown power board would not the problem be constant?Comment

Re: FS 9530 False paper empty
Yes, constant ... consistent.
From what I've read so far, I think I'd start by swapping feed units #1 with #2. If the problem stay s in the same location it's the lift motor. I've seen the splined plastic shaft get a twist which prevents the drive coupler from smoothly moving in/out. If the problem moves to the other tray it's time to look more closely at the feed unit. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
