I have an issue... two actually... one.... no matter what I do... the fax system m will not give me a fax recieved log... either on the display or otherwise... and two... no matter what I do I cannot get the fax system m card to fax forward anything but tiff files... has anyone faced this issue before also... to squash a bug... latest firmware on both machines... and both machines flashed with fax card installed... I am completely lost... update... the km 3060 now gets logs of received faxes but it does not record the numbers... in otherwords... dates and times but no phone numbers... any ideas would be appreciated...

The trick that I've heard is to remove the fax card, load firmware, re-install fax card, re-load firmware a second time. It applies equally to FalconIII and Stratos.
Were you aware of a firmware bug affecting fax receptions on FalconIII, versions 2.41, 2.43, & 2.44? I believe that current firmware is v 2.45a.
I have seen a few failed fax sys (M) cards. I hope that's not the case. Replacements seem to be hard to get. You cannot use a fax sys (M)2 in the FalconIII, but it will work in the Stratos. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

why does kyocera still sell copiers... man this is like windows... aaaaahhhhhhhh..... sorry.... just had to get that out.... ok... no I was never aware of a firmware bug regarding fax reception... ok... I will try the firmware update... without fax card then firmware update with fax card... I will get back to you on this in about an hour...Sad To Say I Don't Have a Life

OK... tried updating firmware on km 3060... now the fax reception logs have entries but they are blank... no phone numbers... any suggestions... and does anyone have a link to older firmware for km 3060 and km 4050???Sad To Say I Don't Have a Life

ok... per kyocera... the fax on the other end has to have the name and phone number programmed in... then the receive log will pull that information... if not then the fax receive log will either record a blank line or nothing at all...Sad To Say I Don't Have a Life

now concerning the fax forward saving only as tiff... contacted kyocera on that note and they said change the setting in the web interface.... under fax tab... under advanced... under forward... change file type to pdf... then reboot... this should change it... if not then reload the firmware...
so I guess I am back to firmware... for tiff issue... well atleast I got an answer on the fax receive log...
