What is a Jam 40 and Jam 60 code on a Kyocera Mita KM-4030? A misfeed occurs with the Jam 40 code only while duplexing one copy at a time. When the machine is in the process of pulling the copy back in to print the image on the other side it seems to catch on something. However it never seems to happen in a multiple copy run, as I'm about to describe.
The Jam 60 code occurs while duplexing multiple copies, usually ten at a time. What I notice on the multiple copy run is that the copier will push the paper out and start to pull it back in to print the image on the other side but it hesitates and then spits the copy out into the cavity of the machine instead. One copy remains stuck in the copier when this happens, and the copy it shot out never had the back side printed on.
Would the assembly above the fuser, which I believe to be the exit assembly, be causing my problem? Thank you for any help given.
