Yep that's your IDC shutter...if ya ever get deep into the left side and see how that thing actually actuates you'll shake your head. It's pretty much pulled by a thin plastic strip that has to snake down thru some channels. it breaks easy and is easy to get it put back in wrong. I try not to even mess with them if I can avoid it.

thanks for the response Kidaver. So as the shutter seems to work, is there any other part i could look at to get this fixed?

If the shutter is good, the next thing to try is the primary belt. As it gets the milky ozone to it, the registration sensors can't read the patches on the belt.
        Hope that helps !

Just got finished cleaning up the previous model to this one, the FS-c2126 which was manufactured in 2010. It had problems. Voids and inconsistent color with some color banding in magenta.

          What worked:

Took all drum and developer units out, blew out everything with compressed air, scrubbed the transfer belt with Simple Green, reseated and re-installed everything, did developer and drum refresh maintenance, and manual color calibration.

          Everything looks Great now!
(...we'll see how long it lasts!...LOL!)
