I have a grocery store chain that does high volumes of label printing. By high volume I mean about 400 labels at one time non stop, each store, all at once. I cant find a printer that will do the job. I need a new style printer. What is working is an HPp3005. In the past Lexmark t650 worked with a few problems. Here is the big problem. Oh and even tried a ML-5512 Samsung monster. Now the problem. they want speed. They want to run out of specs and by that I mean they dont want to have to select labels they want to run in plain paper mode so it goes faster. I know you dont have to tell me what you are thinking about that one. The monster Samsung ML-5512ND runs at 55 ppm unless you say labels now its down to 8 ppm. thick about 35 ppm but then it begins to hang up at the fuser. I need to sell them about 20-25 printers but I only have Kyocera,Samsung and maybe Brother, and maybe Canon, but cost to operate plays into this as well.
These labels need to be run in as short as time as possible as these are the price stickers that need to be placed on products by daylight. The printing starts at midnight. Do have an account running labels in a high volume fashion do tell what is working because I am out of ideas. As you can see I need a printer that will print labels in plain paper mode maybe with a fuser adjustment if it comes with one. Yes I know it doesnt make sense, but a sale does make sense. What they have now are Lexmarks and Hp's. t-650's and HP p3005. They have even used hp 2200 printers in the past but even they are too slow. But 22 ppm is still better than 8 ppm for the monster Samsung ML-5512ND. I am also told by our sales rep that there is a new toner law where the toner has been changed due to health concerns. They arte saying maybe the new formula does not adhere very well. Matter of fact an engineer at Samsung stated that.
Here is my Question: What printer can I use that will produce at least 33 or ppm using labels without jamming or problems?
