KM 4050 Error Code C5300

    [Error Code] KM 4050 Error Code C5300

    I have a KM 4050 that is unable to print from the MP tray correctly and it is now displaying error code C5300. We are able to print from all the other trays just not the MP tray. When you print from that tray it is clipping an inch and a half off of all 4 sides. I don't have access to a list of error codes for this printer but I was wondering if someone could tell me what this error code is and if possible where I can get a copy of all the error codes as I am now responsible for maintaining this printer.

      The code means: cleaning lamp broken, but there's a good chance it isn't. Let me explain:

      The most likely cause is a poorly adjusted door interlock switch.
      The second most likely cause is the wrong drum type has been installed.
      The third most likely cause is a blown cleaning lamp.

      The problem with the MP tray is totally unrelated. Most likely, the MP tray media size has been mis-programmed to another paper size. You want the size detection set to Auto, and the guides to touch the sides of the page. There is a simulation to calibrate the guides, but it doesn't need to be done very often. More often it's just user error.
