Does anyone know why when loading a kx driver, the mfp is not discovered automatically? It doesn't appear to be connected with any specific model, the firmware is up to date, it is the latest driver version. You can go ahead a load it with the ip and it works fine but their has to be a reason it won't find it automatically. I have also had this problem with km net viewer. Thank you.

Re: Auto discovery
Which model printers are not being detected? Not all Kyocera models will be detected by the KX driver installation program, just the ones that program has drivers for. Some Kyocera models ship with their own model-specific driver/software CD as opposed to the multi-model KX software CD that most Kyocera models come with. I would guess that this may have something to do with your issue...But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

Re: Auto discovery
Yesterday we loaded drivers on around 25 pc's. A few of them would not auto discover so I figured it was something with the PC itself. The mfp was a falcon 3. Then I got a call from a network admin. from a local city who was loading drivers for a ta 2550ci on a PC, he said it picks up a lot of different kyocera mfp's but not the 2550. So I don't think that one was the PC . He just wondered why and I don't know. Thanks.Comment

Re: Auto discovery
I just concluded that it was basically random. It's never the same model, OS, or driver. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
