    [Misc] Mac to Taskalfa 250ci driver problem is what it looks like won't print on 11X17

    My client has a new Apple10.8.5 and it wont print to 11X17 and doesn't even know its aval on the copier. I don't speek apple and My client is a graphics type but dosn't speek apple enough to figure this out. she can move the Doc's to a PC and then print okay. but thats extra work. not sure where to go with this one.

      The first thing I'd check is to see if they're using the right driver. Especially with Mac users, I find them using any old print driver. the driver you're using may well be for an A4 sized printer that just can't print onto ledger.

      I took a call for a Copystar CS-C4035E that would only print monochrome. It turned out that the driver in use was for an HP LJ4, which never could print color.

      The 10.8.5 is one of the more recent operating systems, so you may discover that there just isn't a compatible driver yet. =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          sounds like I should watch for up-date drivers on the Mita Connect site and reinstall if the newer ones come out. Any idea of how often they up-date? Are Apples always a pain in the XXXX when it comes to Copier connections?

              In a word: Yes.

              Especially if you're trying for advanced functions like booklet making, job accounting, auto paper size selection ...
              I'm just reaching the point that I feel reasonable comfortable with Macs, and often we still can't seem to get all the functions working.
