I've attached an image of the problem for you to check out. It only happens on certain areas. Around the middle of the page, and the bottom of the page. Only on bold black print.

Did you try swapping the drums.

I sure did. Swapped the Y and K. No effect. Again, only on bold, large font, black jobs, and only in certain areas.

A couple of ideas here:

1) Try different brand paper. It could be the paper can't handle that much toner and the fuser is smearing it.

2) Big and Bold may not work well for that model. I've got a customer with a 250ci that likes to do prints like that. Big black bold letters for signs. The problem is the machine can never get it as bold as they want it. Slightly different than your problem but may be the same reason. The machine can't handle fonts that big and bold.

Good point. Whatever your problem is it's definitely fusing related.
