    DP-670 copy problem

Got a KM-2560 that's driving me crazy lately. Print and glass copy are ok, but when I use DP, I get this black line no matter what i do. I've cleaned optics and slit glass in detail (with force applied) multiple times. Tried every scanner and dp adjustment from the diagnostics. Did auto dp adjustment with the chart. Tried with black line reduction from adjustment/maintenace but nothing helped. Also after few copies from dp, machine says to clean slit glass, though it's crystal clean. I think this is some DP-670 malfunction, cause i know how dirty slit glass issue looks and i can fix those lines instantly.

Here's the scanned copy. Any input would be much appreciated.

Have you looked at the condition of the white reference? How about DP height? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Check the metal bar over the slit glass. If that gets dirty it might cause a line.

Thx for input guys. Forgot to mention that I've also tried dp height adjustment and didn't help. Will check the metal bar next, and white reference condition.

If I understand Zackuth correctly, the white reference is the "metal bar". =^..^=

I'm talking about the metal bar on the DP which helps guide the paper over the slit glass.

The one that's painted white for the scanner to reference? #17 in his diagram? =^..^=

I've always seen it as ivory colored, but yeah. I just never connected it to a white reference before.
