    [Jamming] FS-C2126MFP+ Jam 0501

I am getting a Jam0501 from tray 1 every time. I have replaced both the feed assembly and retard assembly. What looks like is happening when I have the rear door open is that on both sides of the retard assembly there are to arms that push forward toward the tray when it is inserted blocking the paper. If I have the rear door open and let it jam I can pull the arms back out of the way and then close the door and it feeds fine. If you take the tray out though when it is reinserted the arms come back out and jams. Don't see the part listed in the parts manual. Looks like it would be part of Piece 8 in Paper Feed Section 1 of the parts manual.

Looking at the back of the cassette the Stopper Hook is what pushes on the parts in back of machine and push those arms out in the way. I ended up taking the Stopper Hook off the cassette and it seems to be working. I would assume that piece is needed for something but other then blocking the paper path I can't see why. If someone knows of anything to not have to remove that part would be greatly appreciated.

There is a bulletin on that. They changed the part on the cassette. It may have been called stopper hook or something like that. Look on kyoceras site with that jam code.

Tonerkiller is right. Replace the stopper and the spring in the paper tray. Replaced them on two machines yesterday. After that, no 501 jams.

Agreed. There is a new style part ... And the machine works fine with that part removed. I just popped off the little white piece and called it good. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I have looked for a bulletin and searched for that 0501 jam code but the only thing I find is about the spring for retard roller on new model machines. If you could post what the bulletin is maybe I could find it that way. Or if you could post the bulletin.
