    [Jamming] FS4100 Fuser failures

    Hey All,

We have 30 FS 4100 placed in a local region. over half of them have had the fuser units fail due to toner binding them up. This is original Kyocera toner so no compatible crap. They had relatively low mileage on them, 35K+/-. Kyocera has covered so no issue except to the customer.

Has anyone else seen this issue?

    Thanks,

    Larhal

What kind of media are they running ?
What type of environment are these 4100's located in ?

God grant me the serenity to accept stupid people , the courage to not waste my time and energy on them , and the wisdom to know that I cannot fix STUPID .

They are using Xerox 80 gram paper, Standard here. Normal office environment. Nothing unusual.

        Larhal,
We were having issues to, and I think that Kyocera fixed that with engine firmware level 7.002. I think engine firmware is up to version 8 now, so if you just update the firmware maybe it will be OK, though it probably won't help any fusers that have already started to have the problem.

Thanks, I did not know about the update, Boss doesn't share all the information as required. I will try this.
