We have lots of these out in the field. Over the last 6 months, we've had about 5 machines with this same problem.
All machine output is full black pages. Image is still under there, but basically a full black coverage on the page. It's the main charge contacts getting weird.
Removing the Main Charge corona and closely inspecting in some cases has revealed crap on the wires, gingerly cleaning them with a pick and alcohol wipe can sometimes work, then cleaning the contacts in back and on the charge itself seems to buy us another 5k maybe, but the problem comes back.
We have been replacing the main charge corona on most of the machines that have exhibited this issue, but last week and then again today we had 2 machines that have had full PM's done within the last 20k have the same issue.
those 2 machines are in 2 very different environments ( a dusty construction office, and a very clean nice office) , and both are using compatible(non-oem) toners and decent quality paper.
Because both of the 2 machines have main charge's replaced within the last 20k then fail is making me think that we might have a part quality issue from Kyocera.
Has anyone else seen a repeat issue with this recently ??
