    CS 3050ci shutting off randomly

There where some power outages around my area and now I have a 3050ci that randomly shuts off or loses power. I think it got a surge because one second it's fine and the next second the screen goes blank and the all the LEDs on the control panel go out but there are still fans running in the back. It happens randomly but almost always within 15 minutes of it being powered on and the only way to get it to turn back on is to turn the main power switch off and on. Also, when it is on it won't connect to the network. No lights come on at the port and I can't ping it or anything. As per Kyocera's instructions, I've already swapped the LVPS and that didn't change anything and tomorrow when the main PWB comes in I'm going to replace that. Does a faulty main PWB sound like the most logical culprit? Also, when you change the main PWB you have to switch over the EEPROM and the code DIMM from the old one to the new one? Any chances of those having issues from the possible surge? This will be my first time having to replace the main PWB on a Copystar so any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Have you printed out the event log? There may be a code to help explain things on the log. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Since you have had electrical problems ............
Did you checked to see if this copier is on a dedicated circuit that is supplying the correct voltage ?

If it is not dedicated, what else is on this circuit ?

The event log will certainly help.

Definitely not on a dedicated circuit. The Main PWB fixed it. It actually may have been a two-part problem. When I said it wasn't fixed by the replacing the LVPS, I hadn't yet confirmed it was still shutting off randomly but it still wouldn't connect to the network. When I went back today, the customer told me it hadn't shut off since I replaced the LVPS so that may have fixed that issue. Replacing the Main PWB fixed the network issue so all is good.
