Kyocera FS1135MFP- Not seeing document in DP

I have a intermittent problem with the DP on these machines. If you put pages in the dp and press copy the machine starts to scan from the flatbed. I have updated firmware, changed paper detect actuator, pcb in dp, paper detect sensor.....still intermittent problems....Any ideas?

Check all the DP door interlocks and DP closed switches/sensors. Most likely one of them is being made only intermittently. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I ran into this with a customer who would alternate between DP and platen copies. After a platen copy, she would place the original in the DP, lift it to remove the original from the glass, and then press start before the DP was completely closed. Unless the DP is recognized as "closed", it would just copy off the glass.

When the top of the scanner was taken off to clean the optics the connectors could have been pulled. Reseat all connectors from the feeder, top cover and main board. I have seen this before.
