I'm sorry marley. I can't make heads nor tails of your post. Can you try re-phrasing it? Also include what model Kyocera you are referring to.

Perhaps you can post in your native language, and let me struggle with the meaning. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

You don't need PreScribe commands. You need an Auto Color detection function in the print driver. As far as I know Kyoceras most current print driver version 6.1.1413 does not support Auto Color Detection for printing.

I suppose PreScribe commands could be used to pre-select specific pages to print in color mode versus black and white, but this sort is print code composition is not free. If you'd like to take a try at it download IC Link, and you'll see that it's not as simple as it looks.

If I understand this correctly, you want to send a print job 1 time and have the printer output 2 sets, 1 black&white and 1 color.

If so, I can't think of anyway to make that happen, but my knowledge of prescribe is very limited.

I know the new drivers allow you to make carbon copies from multiple paper cassettes, but I don't remember being able to make changes for color.

If the printer is Hypas compliant you could use Kyoeasyprint, I think this wil do the job.
The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

                  Hi BlackCat,
The latest KDS drivers do perform auto color as the default, in fact you cannot turn it off. Just had a customer complain a couple of weeks ago about that. Send a ten page document, 8 color 2 B&W and the B&W meter ticks up 2 clicks. It apparently has been that way since the late 5.xx versions from what we tested, the hotline did not even know. For older version drivers you had to go to color tab and set AutoColor2 as the default to achieve this, nice feature to save the customer money. Just wanted to let you know.

Funny! It's not covered in the literature for version 6.1.1413. I would think that would be a feature to tout. =^..^=
