    KM 4050 CASSETTE ERROR

    Hi friends,

    Good day to you all, please i am facing serious problem for kyocera km 4050. The cassette 1&2 are not picking paper while the bypass i picking fine.
    After closing the cassette,the machine will display this message.

    ERROR OCCURRED AT CASSETTE 2 OR 1
    OPEN CASSETTE 2 OR 1 TO CHECK AND REMOVE PAPER FROM INSIDE THE MACHINE. This is what the machine usually display. i check inside the machine no paper was found, i used u906 and u021 reset and initialize no good result,please friends any idea will be appreciate

      Naturally, you should start by checking to see if there is any paper behind the tray, blocking the lift drive coupler. If you print an event log, what error messages are listed?

      You may have a shorted lift motor, and the shorted lift motor may have damaged the motor driver circuitry on the engine PWB. The way to clear this up in one visit is to order two lift motors and the engine PWB.

      If you order just the engine PWB, the shorted motor will again damage your new board. If you order one lift motor you have a 50/50 chance of guessing the correct one. =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Do you remember what was the last thing you did before error started showing?
          Did you check paper feed motors in Maintnance mode? I guess you have the same maintnance modes as my km5050 so try U030 also U031 "Checking switches for paper conveying"
          I had same error as you few times, and I didn't saw the paper. Found the paper crumpled behind middle section of the left cover (i think it is duplex unit)

              check "lift motor"
              Black is Kyocera , Color is Gestetner.
