faded print / gray scale adjustment

I have a TACKalfa 250ci which has faded black print, I have done a dev refresh and this helped a little but when I print off a pattern sheet to do a grey scale adjustment and try to scan it, it tells me to check original and will not make allow me to do anything else any ideas what i can do or a work around?

I agree with tonerkiller. The dev units (as well as drum units) for this series are not any good, about 100k I wait for them to fail. Occasionally you'll get a lemon that will last the whole 300k, but it's rare.

if its faded as in bold fonts dont have complete fill.

the dev is shot, replace it.

Kyocera should sell these drums and K devs on bulk prices. This particular series is like owning German cars.
Idling colour developers are not healthy developers.
