    F050 then F040

We have a taskalpha 4550ci new out of box that we flashed with new firmware. during flash the mailbox update failed. Powered the machine down and up again and got the f050 error. Re-seated all connectors on engine pwb and got the machine to finally make it through full firmware up date but now we have the F040 error. Any suggestions would be helpful.

    Thanks in advance,

Engine checksum error, and Engine communication errors, respectively. My guess is that the engine board will need to be replaced, and new firmware flashed. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks BlackCat! That's what I was thinking. I just wanted a second opinion before I ordered it.

It sux when you get that on a brand new machine. Did you have any issues that required firmware upgrade in the first place? Overall I'm satisfied with TA 3050ci and up series, but you would be much better off with TA 4551ci, couse that "1" in the end usually translates as: "hopefully we fixed all the fuckups and implemented all the changes from service bulletins so you can sleep well now".

For those errors i would 1st check the connections between main pwb -> engine pwb and reseat those connectors. If it doesn't help, it's what Blackcat said. Good luck.

          Kyo
