KM 5050 DP700 page pulling problem

    Hi guys,

My Document Feeder (DP700) is pulling more then one paper when i put them in for scanning.
It usually pulls 2 papers at the same time, sometimes more.
What is the cause of this and can it be fixed? I know the papers stick to each other especially if they are not worn off .

When i put it on portrait A4 size it happens more often then on landscape A4, the pull speed on portrait A4 size is a bit faster.

    Hi...
obviously you have cleaned\replaced the feed rubber...check if the pins, that the top cover closes on, aren't bent. Also check if any foreign matter might be stopping the feed tray from lifting high enough.
    Just saying
The product may be brilliant and the salesperson proficient, but if the technician isn’t efficient, then the story will end there.

I had a CPA customer that was converting paper records to electronic files. They would take packets of 100 to 150 pages with two heavy duty staples in the top left corner, remove the staple, than place the stack in the DP.

Naturally the stacks that exceeded 100 pgs jammed. the stacks that did not exceed 100 pgs fed two and three and six at a time. Those heavy duty staples push paper through the set linking those pages together. Kyocera's suggestion was to use a bone folder to separate each page from the set. I purchased a couple of these bone folders, and brought along the salesman that sold the machines a few weeks earlier. I kinda knew that the customer wasn't going to take this real well, that's why I brought the salesman. After only three more folllowups and pointing out that 150 is a number larger than 100, they eventually accepted these conclusions. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
