Hi, I have an error code C7990 on a Kyocera FS-1035 MFP. Can someone help me on translation and fix of this error?

Waste toner full. The waste toner sensor has detected that the waste toner reservoir (drum unit) is full.

Waste toner reservoir (drum unit) is full = Turn the power switch off/on to restart the machine. If the error is not resolved, replace the drum unit

Defective waste toner sensor = Replace the waste toner sensor.

I already changed the drum and image unit from another one we have here, and the error persist...

The only thing I don't know where it stays, it's the sensor... can you give me some directions to find it for change it?

Fernando, you can probably contact Paul with JustManuals.com and get a Parts Manual and Service Manual for this model. You'll more than likely need them if you are going to service the printer.

the best way is to detach the complete scanner unit .

Have a fs 1028 same code its not the drum unit since it works in another machine. Please be a little more detailed about the sensor... location part #.....Is it next to the laser unit? I had the machine down to take laser unit out and didnt see it.

Doesn't matter if it worked in another machine. Take the drum unit out, open one of the sides and empty the waste toner. Restart the device after.

The waste toner tank is full, replace the drum unit (it's built into the drum unit).

The Drum unit has two opening on either sides, pull them with a small flat screwdriver and vacuum, restart the machine, enter maintenance mode and reset the counter and you shoud be good, if your drum surface isnt damage that is

If you take a look at the service manual, it would show you exactly whrere it is located. just below the laser unit.

9. Toner sensor ................................................ Detects the quantity of toner in a toner container.

Remember this drum unit worked in two other machines. I emptied the toner unit an still went code on original machine. Ended up putting a used drum unit in to fix it an saving one that had the issue for a machine that has a service contract an is in need of one.

Please take out the Drum Unit and empty the Waste Toner.
